Hello and thanks for visiting my site!
A little about me... After graduating in1995 from Georgetown Law and until 2021, I served as an attorney in the U.S. Department of the Interior, Office of the Solicitor. I provided legal counsel and litigation support to the National Park Service in the areas of natural resources and environmental law, historic and archeological preservation, intellectual property, museum collections, and Native American issues.
For twenty-five years I had the privilege to advise and learn from dedicated NPS employees, including scientists, archaeologists, anthropologists, historians, curators, and many other knowledgeable park staff members. I collaborated with park rangers and superintendents across the nation from American Samoa to the U.S. Virgin Islands.
I pivoted from my career at Interior to pursue my first book project. The result, National Parks and the Supreme Court, Groundbreaking Legal Battles, gives me an opportunity to share the fascinating legal history that has helped shape the parks.
In the future, I plan to pursue research and writing projects focused on my Korean heritage.
